Time has
barely touched The Bower House. An old coaching inn, it stands on
the only road up Eskdale and has neither canned music nor fruit
machines to shatter the illusion of stepping back into another century.
A lovely, very old, low-ceilinged building (a little like a rabbit
warren), it is cosy and welcoming – with wheelchair access
to some rooms.

of Eskdale, 200 metres away from the Dalegarth terminus of the Ravenglass
