Time has barely touched The Bower House. An old coaching inn, it stands on the only road up Eskdale and has neither canned music nor fruit machines to shatter the illusion of stepping back into another century. A lovely, very old, low-ceilinged building (a little like a rabbit warren), it is cosy and welcoming – with wheelchair access to some rooms.

The owners are very kindly offering a 10% discount to any Centre clients who book for one night, and a whopping 20% discount for those who book three nights or more. To obtain your discount, mention when booking that you are coming to the Centre.

Owned and run by a friendly, helpful and hard-working family, the Brook House Inn is in the heart of Eskdale, 200 metres away from the Dalegarth terminus of the Ravenglass to Eskdale narrow gauge railway. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Good food and real ale available all day.

Harry and Paddington run a friendly and welcoming establishment at the top end of Eskdale, within easy walking distance of the Dalegarth terminus of La'al Ratty. Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms and bar which makes it very popular with the fell walking fraternity.
